In this edition of the GMH Blog we are making a small redesign: sending a very simple eMail with a link to the blog, while the main message is place in the blog itself.
The Dominican Republic is one of the countries best positioned to reach the End State of the Electricity Industry Worldwide. Proof comes from the PJM Interconection, the model utility used by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commision (FERC ) of the United States of America, as the earlier Standard Market Design. That was the reason I made The Third Patriotic Cry in the last edition. Later I found out that stakeholders are againts PJM plan to postpone going directly to the End State. As Mohandas Gandhi liberated India, the GMH understand that the means to liberate the customers have been exposed. Whether or not the Dominicans leaders have sufficient vision, ethics, reality and courage to reap such opportunity, that's another story.
In the above sense, a "rebellion" by industrial customers has apparently started . We believe that our leaders have their hands full of opportunities to develop a DR Trademark around mutually reinforcing electricity and information technology strategies. It is time to take action by engaging a virtuous team to come up with the fundamental solution on energy savings.
